Pain de Vie is a Christian non-profit organization committed to providing hope and economic opportunity to the most disadvantaged people of West Africa through hunger relief, small business enterprises, and training. In West Africa, hoplessness abounds. Pain de Vie targets the most disadvantaged people and brings them the physical hope that accompanies a free loaf of bread. Each week, Pain de Vie visits a large prison to give out free bread to the prisoners. For many inmates, this is the only food they receive all week. Unlike the United States, offenders in West Africa do not receive a trial, and many are incarcerated for political reasons. Pain de Vie also gives bread to orphanages, showing love to children who have desperately need it.
